Always wanted to learn some language/s but never had the time or money to sign up for classes? Your lucky day is today, then ;)
Today I'm introducing another 'free' site... One that gives basic crash courses on different languages: [Click here] This is provided from the BBC website, and they teach many languages, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portugese, Japanese and Korean (if you can't find the link on the main page, navigate to the 'Other Languages' page. These are all the languages that I can remember off hand, so there's a chance that there are more languages available.
Some languages even offer some 'courses' after beginner's! =)
Email System
Good thing about this? You don't have to physically attend lessons at some specific time of the day! The lessons are emailed to you, and so you can view each lesson at your own leisure-
Learning Games
Also, some (or perhaps all) have a section that works something like a quiz. You'll be given scenario, and they'll give you options on what you think you should say in that situation. If you have learnt well, you will find the quiz very easy.
Audio and Video
Most languages also have video and audio files that teach you the language available for download. So if you think you can't be fluent with just looking at text, go download those lessons and learn them by ear!
I certainly think that that will be more effective =)
Signing off... ...
Cool.
