Just saw this the other day, so I thought I'd post this here ^^ If you're interested in Arashi coming to Singapore, do 'Demand It'!! =D
I wrote some parts of it but I didn't check all of it... I got lazy so I just took this off one of the lyrics sites and edited heavily ^^;;
Hoshi wo Mezashite (Aim for the Stars)
I've heard that when you die,
There is a magic that will allow you to be reborn
I opened my eyes, and saw you there
Shining as brightly as a star
I was reborn.
Is everybody here?
Aim for the stars!
I want you to lead me there
As we sing
I'll take that step,
I will not look back
At the past that was filled with so much scars (okay, there's one part missing here but if i translate that it'll sound stupid ^^;;)
I was sure that I had lost my way
In that deep darkness,
I had cried due to loneliness.
I opened my eyes, and saw you there
Shining as brightly as a star
I was reborn.
Is everybody here?
Aim for the stars!
I want you to lead me there
As we sing
I'll take that step.
We changed so much after that day
From all the old mistakes
I will never make them again
I now know what means the most
The joy that is inside us all
That only comes from love
Aim for the Stars
I want you to lead us there
Is everybody here?
Aim for the stars!
I want you to lead me there
As we sing
I'll take that step,
I will not look back
At the past that was filled with so much scars
(Let's Go!)
Aim for the stars!
I want you to lead me there
I'll take that step
(Let's Go!)
Aim for the stars!
As we sing
I'll take that step

I'm currently actively listening to this Nodame Cantabile playlist:
By Tom Felton
If I had a plane,
then where would I fly to?
If I had to use my brain for something else
tell me what would I do?
And if I had a strange conversation with a lady in a waiting room about leaving all this doom and gloom…
If you could be anywhere
where would you be?
If you could be anywhere
would you be there with me?
If I could be anywhere
I’d be there.
If I could be anywhere
I’d be there with you, girl.
Take my chances,
Fake my glances,
Wait those answers
anywhere but…
take my chances,
I’ll fake my glances,
Wait my answers,
anywhere but here.
oh oh
I’ll do it anywhere but here
mmmm
I’ll do it anywhere but here
This song is from the drama 'Kurosagi', sung by Yamapi:
This is a song by the two of the three main characters in 'Nobuta wo Produce'. I really like the song =D
I just finished watching Nodame Cantabile at last... And I really like it =) My most favourite piano piece is this: Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2, Op. 18 Mvmnt 1. I especially like the part from approximately 5:25 to 8:00... Especially in the last 45 seconds... I really think it's great ^_^ And the starting part!! =X But basically the whole song rocks =X
Introducing another song from Hana Yori Dango 2!!
Hello again!!
I've been spending my last dunno-how-many-days going crazy over the Japanese drama "Hana Yori Dango". I know I'm really slow in starting on that drama... But at least I started =X
I felt that it was really nice =) Pity my 1st DVD of the second season screwed up on me =( So I had to skip a few episoides- Oh yes, by the way, the group that sang this song is the same as that of "One Love".
There have been several songs that I have been listening to to tide me over the exam period... I came across several nice ones and I thought I'd introduce one:
Improvisation on the Canon
It's nice =)
This post is related to the previous post, regarding the song Prisoner of Love, by Utada Hikaru.
Hello again!!
I trusted every morning sun -
Taught me how to rise
To stretch beyond the darkest night –
and reach the open skies
Perhaps I shouldn’t trust so much –
should learn to close my eyes
The sun still shines on wooden bars –
the bird that never flies
But if I turn away from what I’ve started
Then will I always wish that I had tried
By breaking free will I be broken-hearted
What will I see when all the tears have dried?
I know how much it means to him -
It means the same to me
But if I keep him from his dreams,
what will the ending be?
Perhaps it’s time to step aside,
and lose my only chance
It’s always men who play the tune,
while girls can only dance
But if I turn away from what I’ve started
Then will I always wish that I had tried
By breaking free will I be broken-hearted
What will I see when all the tears have dried?
Is this the price I have to pay for winning?
I never thought that I could hurt his pride
This shouldn’t be an end, but my beginning
What will I see when all the tears have dried?
But if I turn away from what I’ve started
Then will I always wish that I had tried
By breaking free will I be broken-hearted
What will I see when all the tears have dried?
What will I see…
When all the tears have dried?
Thought I'd share this song with everyone =) It's from Sing to the Dawn-
I really like the way Emma Yong delivered the song, although I didn't know of her before this ^^;;;
I've been listening to the song from the trailer the whole day today... and I realised that I cannot find the lyrics to the song online (I don't even know the song title at the moment!)
Is this my future? Is this my life?Has my destiny arrived
It seems I can't win, but I know I tried
One shot at my dreams but denied
Dreams, they really can come true
And all I really had to do
Is believe that though it’s hard sometimes
I know I'd find the strength inside
Sing to the dawn of hope
Since love restored the faith I hold
And I believe in who I am inside
Now I've found the strength to live my life
I'll sing~!
To a brand new dawn… …
You’ll never know
If you never try…
You’ll make it a long, long way
If you believe..!!
I don't know how many people actually know the book 'Sing to the Dawn', but when I was in primary school, I used to have to read it in school for one of my subjects.
Based on the award-winning novel by Minfong Ho, Sing to the Dawn is the coming-of-age story of a girl fighting for her right to basic education and making true her dreams. Dawan is an average teenage girl growing up in a small Southeast Asian village. But she has bigger dreams and wants more than her small town and traditional way of life can offer.
